Owen Da Gama Takes the Helm at Magesi FC
Magesi FC has hired experienced coach Owen Da Gama as their new head coach, marking a new beginning for the team that’s been having a tough time. Da Gama, nicknamed “Rubber Doll,” takes over from temporary coaches Papi Zothwane and Jackie Ledwaba, who were in charge after Clinton Larsen left.
With a successful coaching history, including working with big clubs like Orlando Pirates, Da Gama brings a lot of knowledge to the Limpopo-based team. His appointment shows the club’s determination to stay in the top league, even though they’re facing difficulties right now.
This season, Magesi FC has shown some promise and even won a trophy. But their inconsistent performance has kept them near the bottom of the league table. Da Gama’s first task will be to steady the team and help them move away from the relegation zone.
His first test comes against TS Galaxy, a club he previously coached. This match will reveal how quickly Da Gama can implement his vision and strategies. A positive result could boost morale and mark the beginning of Magesi FC’s revival under his leadership.
