Portugal midfielder Bernardo Silva shared his thoughts and expectations ahead of the Euro quarter-final match against France.
According to him, it will be a tough match, as it is the quarter-final. All the teams here are deservedly among the best, as these are very strong squads. They are the eight best teams in Europe.
"We will be playing against a team that was the world champion six years ago and was in the final of another World Cup 18 months ago. This is a team accustomed to such challenges, used to playing in playoffs, and they have a lot of experience.
But we are approaching the game with the goal of reaching the semi-final because we are also a great team," said Silva.
He emphasized that their aim is to win and get closer to the final, ultimately winning the trophy.
"But if I were to win the Euro, it would undoubtedly be the most important trophy of my career and would hold a special place in my heart," added Silva.
As a reminder, Portugal and France will play in the Euro quarter-final on Friday, July 5th. The match will start at 21:00 Central European Time.
