Oumar Diakite proves decisive for Cercle Brugge in the Pro League
The Ivorian scored his fifth goal of the season
The Ivorian international found the back of the net this Saturday in the play-offs against Zulte Waregem.
Oumar Diakite ended a run of four goalless matches for his club in the Belgian league. His last goal had come on 7 February against Charleroi. But this 4 April, during the play-off match against Zulte Waregem, the Ivorian found the net once again.
With his team having been pegged back to 1-1, Oumar Diakite restored his side’s lead. The Ivorian converted a penalty in the 69th minute to make it 2-1. However, Cercle Brugge were unable to hold on to their lead and conceded a 2-2 draw. Diakite has now scored five goals in 21 league appearances this season.
