Otto Addo Set for $500,000 Compensation After Ghana Coaching Exit
Otto Addo is reportedly in line to receive a compensation package worth around $500,000 following his dismissal as head coach of the Ghana national football team.
The decision to sack the coach before the 2026 World Cup was confirmed by the Ghana Football Association on Monday, shortly after Ghana suffered a 2-1 defeat to the Germany in an international friendly. The match formed part of the team’s build-up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Addo, who was appointed on a three-year contract, reportedly earned a monthly salary of $50,000 during his tenure. With approximately one year left on his deal at the time of his dismissal, the GFA is expected to honor the remaining terms of the contract through a financial settlement.
While the association has not officially disclosed the exact compensation figure, multiple reports suggest that the total payout could be close to $500,000.
