Osimhen Targets Historic Turkish Champions League Goal Milestone at Man City
Galatasaray could make UEFA Champions League history for Turkish clubs when they face Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday. The Super Lig giants are just two goals away from becoming the first Turkish side to reach 250 goals in the European Cup and Champions League combined.
Much of the spotlight will fall on Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, who has been central to Gala’s European run, scoring six goals in five matches this season. Despite failing to score in a recent 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid, he remains the club’s top scorer.
One more European goal would see him surpass Shabani Nonda and Milan Baros as Galatasaray’s leading foreign scorer in continental competition. It would also mark his 50th goal for the club.
Manchester City are favourites, but Galatasaray arrive motivated, with history within reach.
