Osimhen Fires Galatasaray to Victory With Late Bicycle Kick
Victor Osimhen delivered a brilliant performance on Friday as Galatasaray defeated Samsunspor 3–2 in the Turkish Super Lig. The Nigerian forward has now scored five goals in just three matches against Samsunspor, making them his favourite opponents.
Osimhen doubled Galatasaray’s lead in the 29th minute after Leroy Sané’s opener, firing a low effort past Okan Kocuk. Samsunspor fought back with second-half goals from Anthony Musaba and Emre Kılınç, but Osimhen decided the contest deep into stoppage time.
The 26-year-old sealed the win with a stunning bicycle kick three minutes into added time, completing his brace and handing the hosts all three points. The goal was his first since returning from a hamstring injury suffered during the November international break.
Now on five goals in ten league games, Osimhen’s resurgence will please manager Okan Buruk as Galatasaray head into a crucial Champions League clash against Monaco. The victory keeps the Yellow-Reds four points clear at the top.
