Osimhen Eyes Champions League Milestone Against Monaco

Victor Osimhen is set for another major milestone as Galatasaray face AS Monaco tonight. The Super Eagles star has scored six goals in three UEFA Champions League games this season and remains the competition’s top scorer. Galatasaray have won every match he has played and lost both games he missed.

Osimhen recently broke Burak Yilmaz’s record after scoring in seven straight European games, following his double in the 3-1 win over Bodo/Glimt. He also became Nigeria’s highest Champions League scorer, surpassing Obafemi Martins after the win over Liverpool.

With 12 goals in his last eight European matches, Osimhen could overtake Shabani Nonda and Milan Baros and close in on Hakan Sukur’s club record.
