Osimhen and Yusuf Join Super Eagles Camp in Rabat
Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen and New England Revolution midfielder Alhassan Yusuf have joined the Super Eagles camp in Rabat, bringing the number of players in camp to 23 ahead of Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying playoff against Gabon.
The duo arrived before the team’s Tuesday training session, leaving only goalkeeper Maduka Okoye yet to report for duty.
Training is ongoing at the Institut Royal de Formation des Cadres, led by head coach Eric Chelle, with sessions focused on tactical organization, ball movement, transitions, and attacking efficiency.
Osimhen’s presence has added a strong focal point to Nigeria’s attack, complementing the speed and creativity of Ademola Lookman, Samuel Chukwueze, Moses Simon, Chidera Ejuke, and Tolu Arokodare.
The full 23-man squad includes Calvin Bassey, Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi, William Troost-Ekong, Semi Ajayi, Stanley Nwabali, and others.
Nigeria will take on Gabon on Thursday, November 13, in Rabat. The winner will advance to the African playoff final, moving one step closer to securing Africa’s Intercontinental Playoff spot for the 2026 World Cup.
