Orlando Pirates continue to strengthen their squad and are now eyeing another candidate to bolster the midfield.
Details: According to Africafoot, the Buccaneers are considering a move for midfielder Sadio Kanouté. The club is reportedly ready to make an offer of €500,000 to secure his signature. Pirates are impressed by his physicality and technical ability — key attributes for a central midfielder.
Should the deal go through, Kanouté would become the club’s ninth signing of the current summer window. Orlando Pirates are determined to build a competitive squad, and quality reinforcements are a priority.
Incidentally, following the official unveiling of midfielder Siphesihle Mkhulise as an Orlando Pirates player last week, details of his transfer to the club have also emerged.
Reminder: Relebohile Mofokeng has turned down offers from two Israeli giants — Maccabi Haifa and Maccabi Tel Aviv. Both clubs held talks with Orlando Pirates.
