Orlando Pirates's player snatches the spotlight with Bafana Bafana.

Orlando Pirates's player Patrick Maswanganyi stole the spotlight with the South African national team at the 2025 African Nations Championship qualifiers held in Morocco.

Patrick scored in the last two matches played by the South African national team against South Sudan and against Uganda, and his share of these matches was to put the South African national team at the top of their Group Eleven without any defeat in six matches.

He was one of the 23 players called up for these qualifiers by coach Hugo Broos, who, in turn, is looking forward to playing the next World Cup qualifiers in the same way as they played African Nations qualifiers.
