Orapa United Eye Improvements to Keep CAF Hopes Alive
Orapa United head coach Tiiso Gadimang has urged his team to improve their attacking efficiency and reduce unforced errors as they fight to keep their CAF Confederation Cup quarter-final dreams alive. His comments came after a goalless draw against ASC Jaraaf in a Group C clash at the Obed Itani Chilume Stadium.
"It was really hot," Gadimang said after the game. "But we started well and had four good chances to score that we should have taken."
Orapa, sometimes called the Ostriches, have only two points after three games and are still at the bottom of Group C. They tied with ASEC Mimosa after losing badly to USM Alger 6-0 in their first match.
As they prepare for their upcoming games, Gadimang underlined the importance of maintaining focus and playing strategically. "We must prevent personal errors and perform better close to the goal," he said.
On January 5, 2024, Botswana's team will travel to Senegal to face Jaraaf once more. Malick Daf, Jaraaf's coach, was happy with the draw but felt his team could still win.
The Ostriches face a tough journey, but they are determined to improve their performance in the remaining group games.
