The legendary Argentine shared his thoughts on his eternal rival, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Details: Lionel Messi emphasized that he holds no negativity towards Ronaldo.

When asked by a journalist what he thinks of the Portuguese star, Messi replied:

"I have a lot of respect and admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo, for the career he has built and continues to build. He is still competing at the highest level.

The rivalry was on the pitch... Each of us always wanted to do everything possible for our team.

Off the pitch, we're just two regular guys. We’re not friends because we don’t spend time together, but we have always treated each other with great respect," Messi admitted.

Yesterday, Messi scored the winning goal against Porto in the Club World Cup, securing his team's first victory in the tournament.
