Chelsea continues to suffer significantly from various injuries this season.

According to the club's official website, central midfielder Roméo Lavia, who joined Chelsea this summer, will be out for the rest of the season due to a recurrence of a hip injury.

Due to various injuries, the Belgian midfielder has only played 32 minutes for Chelsea this season. He came on as a substitute in the 19th round match against Crystal Palace.

Chelsea competed with Liverpool for Lavia's signature in the summer and ended up paying Southampton €62.1 million for him.

Before joining Southampton, Lavia was part of Manchester City's academy.
