"Only for headlines." Şahin doesn't think Bayern have already won the Bundesliga

Statements from Bayern's camp promising the "silver salver" for their team have, to say the least, caused confusion among other Bundesliga clubs. Borussia Dortmund head coach Nuri Şahin has seen through Uli Hoeneß’s comments on the matter.

Details: Ahead of their direct encounter, the Dortmund manager said that he does not need such statements to motivate his team, as they are simply made for the sake of creating headlines.

Quote: "Honestly, I don't need anyone else's statements to motivate my players. Our motivation comes from within. We have our own ambitions, which unfortunately we haven't always been able to fulfill in the Bundesliga. I have great respect for Hoeneß – I know how this game works with all these statements. I don’t want to get involved in it. It’s only to create headlines. I’m focused solely on winning tomorrow’s game, and I don’t need any statements for motivation,” Şahin said at a press conference.
