The condition of legendary 80-year-old coach Mircea Lucescu has taken a sudden turn for the worse.
Details: According to DailyMail, the situation is so critical that doctors are offering grim forecasts: the great coach has only a few days left.
Recall that after suffering a heart attack on Friday morning, the former head coach of Dynamo, Shakhtar, and the Romanian national team was placed into a medically induced coma.
The drama of the situation is heightened by the actions of his son, Razvan Lucescu. The head coach of Greek side PAOK urgently left his squad during preparations for a crucial derby against Panathinaikos. Razvan flew to Bucharest to be at his father's bedside in the university hospital, where Mircea's wife, Neli, and granddaughter Marilu are already present.
Severe arrhythmia caused the sudden deterioration. Romania national team technical director Mihai Stoichita, who visited his colleague, shared his pain:
“He is connected to life support. I couldn't speak with him, I just touched his hand. Hope dies last, but your heart breaks when you see a man like this in such a state,” Stoichita said.
It should be noted that over the course of his career, the Romanian coach has managed many clubs in Italy, Ukraine, Turkey, and, of course, Romania.
