One step away from the title! Mamelodi Sundowns' opponent in the CAF Champions League final revealed
On April 18, the second legs of the 2025/26 CAF Champions League semifinals took place. As a result, we now know the names of the finalists: Mamelodi Sundowns and FAR Rabat.
First, Sundowns defeated Espérance once again, securing back-to-back appearances in the championship match. Notably, for their coach Miguel Cardoso, this will be his third consecutive final, though the Portuguese manager is still chasing his first trophy.
The other semifinal saw Moroccan sides Berkane and FAR Rabat go head-to-head. The capital club advanced to the final thanks to their victory in the first leg.
Interestingly, a win in this tournament would mark only the second time in history for either team to lift the trophy. Mamelodi claimed the title in 2016, while FAR Rabat last celebrated continental glory in 1985.
