One of the standout players of Euro 2024, Georgia's Georges Mikautadze, is close to joining AS Monaco.
According to insider Fabrizio Romano, details of the deal between Monaco and Metz are still being discussed, but the transfer of the Georgian forward is almost inevitable.
The personal terms agreement has also been confirmed, and the deal is in its final stages. An official announcement is expected soon.
Mikautadze shone at Euro 2024, scoring three goals and providing one assist in four matches. His impressive performances have unsurprisingly attracted interest from top leagues.
In addition to Monaco, West Ham, Newcastle, Borussia Dortmund, Napoli, and two other French clubs, Marseille and Lyon, have been monitoring Mikautadze. Metz is reportedly asking around €25 million for the forward.
