A coalition appears to be forming against FIFA president Gianni Infantino, with several figures unwilling to back his actions or support his bid for re-election.

Details: According to Bild, the German Football Association has refused to sign a letter endorsing Gianni Infantino's candidacy. The next FIFA presidential election is set to take place soon. DFB president Bernd Neuendorf has distanced himself from Infantino, particularly following the incident involving the red card shown to Balogun.

Meanwhile, just a few days before Sunday's World Cup final, there are virtually no tickets left on the resale market. The cheapest seats are currently priced at €4,451, while the most expensive tickets have soared to an astonishing €188,803.

Reminder: During the 2026 FIFA World Cup, there were several instances in which coaches and players openly criticised refereeing decisions, and FIFA now plans to investigate those incidents after the tournament concludes.
