Manchester United's goalkeeper, Andre Onana, is set to play two matches within a 24-hour span - first for the club and then for the Cameroonian national team at the African Cup of Nations.

Manchester United has reached an agreement with the 27-year-old goalkeeper that he will play against Tottenham on January 14th, as reported by The Athletic. Following the game, the goalkeeper will promptly join the Cameroonian national team, defending their goal on January 15th in the match against Guinea at the AFCON.

It's noted that the Cameroonian Football Federation and Manchester United have reached a compromise to maximize Onana's playing time for both teams. If Cameroon fails to progress from their group at the AFCON, which also includes Senegal and Gambia, then he might not miss any matches for the club.

In the current season, Onana has appeared in 28 matches for the Red Devils across all competitions. In eight of these matches, the goalkeeper managed to keep a clean sheet.

The 2024 African Cup of Nations will take place in Ivory Coast from January 13th to February 11th. Senegal currently holds the title as the reigning African champions.
