On the move up? Lucas Bergvall could join a top club in Spain or Italy!
Tottenham's young midfielder Lucas Bergvall has once again attracted the attention of leading European clubs.
Details: According to Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, Barcelona and Napoli are closely monitoring the situation surrounding the 20-year-old Swedish footballer ahead of the January transfer window.
Bergvall wanted to leave the club as early as last summer due to a lack of playing time, but Tottenham's management convinced him to stay. Nevertheless, the midfielder's position in the squad has barely changed: he has started just twice in the current Premier League campaign.
The situation is further complicated by the new long-term contract the Swede recently signed with Tottenham. As a result, Napoli consider a potential permanent transfer extremely difficult, prompting interested clubs, including Barcelona and Juventus, to consider negotiating a six-month loan deal for the player.
In the 2026/27 season, Bergvall has played in 6 matches, spending a total of 325 minutes on the pitch. During that time, he has not registered a single goal or assist. Transfermarkt values the player at €40 million.
