Omewa Brace Powers Super Falcons to 3-0 Victory Over Senegal in Friendly Win in Ikenne

The Super Falcons delivered a strong second-half performance to defeat the Senegal women national football team 3-0 in an international friendly at the Remo Stars Stadium on Monday.

After a tightly contested first half that ended goalless, the Super Falcons stepped up after the break and quickly took control of the match.

Omewa proved to be the difference-maker, scoring twice in quick succession to give Nigeria a comfortable advantage. Her first came early in the second half, before she doubled her tally in the 55th minute with a composed finish.

Head coach Justin Madugu then introduced Asisat Oshoala and Folashade Ijamilusi in the 63rd minute, replacing Rinsola Babajide and Omewa to keep the team’s intensity high.

The change paid off almost immediately as Oshoala added her name to the scoresheet just minutes later, finishing clinically after being set up by Ajibade to make it 3-0.
