Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush continued his fine season in the Bundesliga on Sunday when he scored for the hosts against Stuttgart in a 3-2 win. His third goal, a well-executed freekick, filed his name in history books as the first to score three free-kicks in three back-to-back matches since Messi.
The last time Messi did so was in the 2017-2018 La Liga season with Barcelona, where he scored against Girona, Las Palmas, and Atlético Madrid. Marmoush's freekick streak includes goals against Bochum, Slavia Prague in the Europa League, and now Stuttgart.

Meanwhile, Marmoush has played 16 matches this season, scoring a total of 14 goals and making 10 assists in all competitions. He presently shares Bayern Munich's Harry Kane at the top scorer of the Bundesliga, netting a total of 11 goals to date. With further matches ahead, he will be ready for Frankfurt as Marmoush chases an unprecedented fourth consecutive free-kick goal on the trot, probably setting a new mark.
