He is currently assistant manager of the Republic of the Congo
The former Senegalese international is reportedly one of the favourites of the Senegalese Football Federation.
As Claude Le Roy’s assistant in the Republic of the Congo, Omar Daf could return to his home country to take charge of the national team. The governing body of Senegalese football is searching for a successor to Pape Thiaw following his dismissal.
Whilst Habib Beye, Patrick Vieira and Hervé Renard are tipped to take over, Omar Daf’s name is also said to be under consideration by Senegalese football officials. The profile of the former Senegalese international defender is reportedly well regarded within the Federation.
Omar Daf is said to possess the qualities needed to best meet the criteria set by the Senegalese Football Federation.
