Omar Daf is no longer the coach of Amiens SC
The Senegalese tactician was officially dismissed from his position on Thursday by the French Ligue 2 club.
Omar Daf's dismissal had been anticipated by observers. The club's results have not been impressive since the start of the 2025-26 season. Amiens SC is in 16th place in the Ligue 2 standings with 23 points after 25 games played. But Monday's 0-2 defeat against Troyes was too much for Amiens' management. As a result, the club has decided to part ways with its Senegalese coach, who had been in the job since July 2023.
Amiens SC has officially announced the departure of Omar Daf from his position as coach of the professional team, effective today. The club would like to thank Omar for his commitment, professionalism and the work he has accomplished since his arrival, as well as for the dedication he has shown to the club and the team. Pending further arrangements, Julien Ielsch and Serge Costa will take charge of the professional team as of today.
