Omar Al Somah Joins Wydad Squad After Visa Hurdle Resolved

After addressing the visa concerns that had delayed his arrival in the United States, Wydad Athletic Club has finally added Syrian forward Omar Al Somah to their squad for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
The 36-year-old goal machine, who previously starred for Al Ahli and Al Orobah, missed the start of Wydad's pre-season due to administrative delays in obtaining his U.S. entry visa.
Eyes Set on Upcoming Group G Matches
According to the club’s vice-president Saâd Dreib, Al Somah has now received his visa and is currently in Switzerland, where he is set to join his teammates by Wednesday evening.
However, due to limited preparation time, the experienced forward is not expected to feature against Manchester City in today's Group G clash. His debut will likely come later in the group stage.
With Al Somah finally available, Wydad hope his firepower can boost their ambitions in this expanded edition of the Club World Cup.
