Olympique de Marseille did not stand on the sidelines when it came to paying tribute to the champions of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. During its Ligue 1 match against Lens (3-1) on the 19th day of the season, the French club paid a beautiful tribute to the Lions of Teranga, winners of the 2025 African Cup of Nations.
This was done through a giant tifo displayed at the Stade Vélodrome during the match against Lens. It bears the colours of Senegal with Sadio Mane's legendary phrase ‘Play like men’, uttered by the Senegalese striker to his teammates during the final won by the Lions of Teranga against Morocco on 18 January 2026 in Rabat.
It was a nod to the Senegalese African champions, who do not have any players at Olympique de Marseille.
