On Wednesday, May 29, the UEFA Conference League final took place. Olympiacos and Fiorentina competed for the tournament's top prize.

Fiorentina started the match more actively and managed to score a goal in the ninth minute. However, after a VAR review, Cristiano Biraghi's goal was disallowed for offside. The rest of the first half was very balanced. Fiorentina had a slight edge in possession with 51% compared to Olympiacos' 49%. The Italian team was more active in attack but failed to create any clear goal-scoring opportunities.

After the break, the game remained unchanged. Fiorentina continued to dominate possession, but neither Fiorentina nor Olympiacos could generate significant chances to score. With the match evenly poised, regular time ended in a draw, leading to two 15-minute overtimes.

At the start of extra time, Jovetic had a good chance to put Olympiacos ahead, but Fiorentina's goalkeeper made a crucial save. The first extra time period lacked further intensity. Fiorentina responded with their chance, but once again, the goalkeeper saved his team.

In overtime, the game remained balanced, but Olympiacos found their moment. In the 116th minute, Santiago Esse delivered a precise cross to Ayoub El Kaabi, who sent the ball into Fiorentina's net.

This goal was the only one in the game and historic for the Greek team, as it marked Olympiacos' first European trophy.
