Toyosi Olusanya is set to leave Scottish side St. Mirren and join MLS club Houston Dynamo in a deal worth around £200,000 ($250,000), according to Daily Record and The Sun. The 27-year-old striker, whose contract was set to expire at the end of the season, is expected to complete the move before next week's MLS transfer deadline.

Olusanya has impressed in the Scottish Premiership this season, tallying 12 goals and two assists across roughly 2,500 minutes. While several Scottish and English clubs showed interest in signing him on a free, Houston stepped in to secure the deal early.

The Dynamo add a versatile attacker who can operate centrally or on either wing. He will provide competition and depth behind current striker Ezequiel Ponce. This move comes as part of a busy window for Houston, who also brought in DP playmaker Ondřej Lingr, midfielder Duane Holmes, center back Pablo Ortiz, and goalkeeper Jonathan Bond.

St. Mirren manager Stephen Robinson had previously hinted at Olusanya's departure, admitting the club couldn’t match the financial offers. “There’s only a certain level this club can go to. That’s just the reality,” he said.

The move marks another step in Houston's effort to strengthen ahead of the summer. The team finished fifth in the Western Conference last season and is now reinforcing key positions to remain competitive in 2025.
