The saga of registering midfielder Dani Olmo with Barcelona came to an end this week: the club successfully included the player in their squad for the season and for the La Liga match against Rayo Vallecano.
Olmo's debut for the Catalan team was quite spectacular. Shortly before the final whistle, he scored the winning goal, securing three points for his new team.
The midfielder also celebrated his goal in an unusual way. According to him, he imitated the celebration of NBA star Damian Lillard.
"What does the celebration mean? There's a player in the NBA who does it, Damian Lillard... I took it from him," said Olmo.
It's worth noting that Olmo is a native of Catalonia. He joined Barcelona's academy from Espanyol at the age of nine, but this was his first professional game for Barça.
