Oliver Glasner Hails Christantus Uche After Standout Performance in Crystal Palace’s Win Over Shelbourne

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has heaped praise on Christantus Uche following the Nigerian forward’s eye-catching display in the club’s 3–0 victory over Shelbourne at the Tallaght Stadium.

Uche, making his first start for the Eagles, opened the scoring early in Dublin, setting the tone for a dominant Palace performance. Eddie Nketiah and Yeremy Pino added two more before halftime, putting the Premier League side firmly in control.

Speaking after the match, Glasner expressed confidence that Uche has even more to offer:

“Christantus deserved it. He showed up against Fulham. He showed he can help us, and he can score goals. This might be the starting moment for him at Crystal Palace,” Glasner told TNT Sports.

“For strikers, goals are always important. All three who played up front scored today, so hopefully this gives him confidence. It was a good performance from him.”

Uche who is currently on loan from Spanish club Getafe, was not included in Nigeria’s final squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, meaning the 22-year-old will remain with Crystal Palace during the tournament.
