Former Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has revealed that Nigeria’s national team faced serious kit shortages during his time in charge, causing unexpected training delays.
Oliseh explained that the team often lacked enough training jerseys, forcing players to wash and reuse the same kits daily. As a result, some sessions could not start on time because the clothes needed to dry first.
“When I was coaching the Super Eagles, sometimes I had to take the boys to training but we couldn’t go at the said time because we had to wait for the clothes they used in the morning to dry up,” Oliseh said.
Appointed in 2015, Oliseh managed a talented squad despite off-field logistical challenges, guiding Nigeria to CHAN qualification and respectable results.
