Former Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has disagreed with Thierry Henry over the Arsenal legend’s criticism of Mohamed Salah’s recent outburst at Liverpool. Salah had said the club “thrown him under the bus” and that his relationship with manager Arne Slot had broken down, leading to his exclusion from Liverpool’s Champions League win over Inter Milan.

Henry argued on air that Salah should have handled the situation privately, recalling how he once accepted being dropped at Barcelona after a poor run. But Oliseh pushed back, saying the two cases were “not comparable.”

“I like ‘tete’… but I think he is getting this one wrong!” he wrote on X, insisting Salah has been Liverpool’s “Main man” for almost a decade. He added that Henry “was not bought to Barcelona to lead the team…” and urged critics to “leave our African brother alone.”

Oliseh admitted Salah shouldn’t have gone public but maintained he had every right to feel unhappy.
