Oleksandr Usyk believes Daniel Dubois deserves a rematch
The former undisputed heavyweight champion shared his perspective on the fairness of a rematch with Daniel Dubois.
Details: Ahead of the bout for the undisputed heavyweight boxing championship between WBC, WBO, WBA and IBO titleholder Oleksandr Usyk and Britain’s Daniel Dubois, who currently holds the IBF belt, journalists asked the Ukrainian for his opinion on his opponent.
Usyk, true to his style, spoke very warmly of Dubois:
"I love my British opponents. I think Daniel is a great athlete, a good boxer with excellent skills. He’s claimed impressive victories in his last three fights, he’s a real warrior. I believe Daniel deserves a rematch," Usyk said.
The historic fight will take place on July 19 at Wembley Stadium in London and will be the second meeting between the two boxers: in their first encounter, Oleksandr Usyk defeated Dubois by knockout in the ninth round.
