Old grudges? Three Manchester United players snub Amorim after Milan match
Manchester United suffered a 2-4 defeat to Milan in a friendly, but it was the post-match drama that stole the spotlight. Footage circulating online shows that three players from the English club pointedly ignored their former head coach, Rúben Amorim, after the final whistle.
While almost every Red Devils player who had previously worked under the Portuguese manager came over to greet their ex-boss, Marcus Rashford, Kobbie Mainoo, and Diogo Dalot kept their distance, refusing any interaction with Amorim.
The Rashford situation stands out in particular. There was a well-documented rift between the English striker and the Portuguese coach, which ultimately led to Rashford twice leaving Manchester United on loan—first to Aston Villa, then continuing his career at Barcelona.
Mainoo also lost his starting spot under Amorim, while Dalot’s relationship with the coach seemed considerably calmer. Still, Amorim had publicly criticized the defender’s form, though Dalot later spoke positively about the manager’s work.
