Old friends reunited! Vinícius Júnior welcomes Carlo Ancelotti as Brazil head coach

Vinícius Júnior and Carlo Ancelotti met for the first time as part of the Brazil national team after the Italian left his position as head coach of Real Madrid. The Brazilian shared a photo marking the occasion in his Instagram story.
Vinícius posted a snapshot capturing the moment he and Ancelotti greeted each other with a handshake.

Carlo has included Vinícius Júnior in the squad for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
As a reminder, Carlo Ancelotti departed Real Madrid at the end of this season, after which he signed a contract with the Brazil national team that will run through the end of the 2026 World Cup. Notably, the Italian becomes the first foreign head coach in the history of Brazil's national team.

Ancelotti managed Real Madrid from 2021, marking his second stint at the club. Previously, he led the Madrid side from 2013 to 2015. Across both tenures, he won the Champions League and UEFA Super Cup three times each with the Spanish giants, along with two La Liga titles, two Copa del Rey trophies, and two Spanish Super Cups.
