AFC Toronto have extended the contract of Nigerian forward Esther Okoronkwo, keeping her at the club until 2027. The 28-year-old was a key figure as Toronto topped the Northern Super League regular-season standings and reached the championship game.
Okoronkwo scored eight goals and recorded 11 assists in 1,643 minutes, forming a partnership with teenager Kaylee Hunter as the club led the league with 42 goals. She shone internationally, starring in Nigeria’s WAFCON final win over Morocco. Toronto renewed deals for Zoe Burns, Kaila Novak and Lauren Rowe.
