Arthur Okonkwo delivered another brilliant display as Wrexham drew 1–1 with Preston North End in their Championship match at Deepdale. BBC Sport reported that the Nigerian goalkeeper faced 23 attempts on goal, underlining the quality many say the Super Eagles are missing.

Wrexham started fast, with Kieffer Moore scoring in the fourth minute after James McClean’s cross was parried into his path. Okonkwo then made several key saves, including a sharp stop from Alfie Devine and a superb double save to deny Thierry Small.

He kept Wrexham ahead until the 81st minute when Harrison Armstrong finally beat him from close range. The match came a day after Okonkwo was nominated for the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month award.
