Nigeria international centre-back Igoh Ogbu is facing another spell on the sidelines after suffering a hamstring injury during Slavia Prague’s 4–1 loss to Pafos on Wednesday night, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
Ogbu had struggled with a persistent hamstring problem earlier in the season, raising doubts about his availability for the Africa Cup of Nations. However, he recovered in time to join Nigeria’s 28-man squad and featured in three matches in Morocco.
Unfortunately, the defender suffered a recurrence against Pafos and was forced off shortly after the hour mark, replaced by Daiki Hashioka.
The setback follows a similar injury that ruled him out for three months. Ogbu has made seven starts this season.
