OFFICIALLY. The legendary Brazilian midfielder has returned to his hometown club

Experienced Brazilian midfielder Philippe Coutinho has officially returned to his hometown club, Vasco da Gama.

Coutinho has joined on a one-year loan. The 32-year-old midfielder's contract with Aston Villa runs until the summer of 2026.

At his hometown club, the midfielder will wear the number 11 jersey.

Coutinho began his career in the Vasco da Gama academy before moving to Europe in 2008, signing with Inter Milan for around €4 million.

Last season, the player spent on loan at Al-Duhail. For the Qatari team, the Brazilian scored 7 goals and provided 3 assists.

Transfermarkt values the 32-year-old player at €7.5 million.
