Javier Mascherano officially has become a new coach of Inter Miami.
Details: The MLS club announced today that Argentine and Barcelona legend Javier Mascherano has been named their new head coach. The former midfielder signed a contract with the American club until 2027.
Mascherano will manage a team that includes four of his former Barcelona teammates: Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets.
Reminder: Mascherano's last role was with Argentina's youth national team, which he led to the quarterfinals of the Olympic Games.
It was previously reported that Inter Miami also considered Xavi for the role of head coach, but the former Barcelona manager declined the offer.
