Officially, Al Ahly Secure Major Signing to Bolster Attack
Egyptian giants Al Ahly have signed Moroccan winger Achraf Bencharki on two and half year deal after his contract with Qatar’s Al Rayyan was terminated by mutual consent.
Bencharki, 30, arrived in Cairo on Wednesday for medical tests before finalizing the move. According to reports, he accepted a contract for $1.3 million a year.
The former Zamalek player has played for Wydad Casablanca, Al Jazira, and Al Hilal. He won numerous domestic and continental titles while playing with Zamalek from 2019 to 2022, scoring 41 goals and dishing out 28 assists.
After Mostafa El Aash (ZED FC), Nejc Gradišar (Fehérvár FC), and Ahmed Reda (Petrojet), Bencharki is Ahly's fourth winter acquisition. As Ahly looks to win additional trophies this season, his arrival expands their offensive options.
