Milan has finally found a replacement for their main striker Olivier Giroud, who moved to Los Angeles FC as a free agent after the season ended.
Today, the Rossoneri officially announced the transfer of Atlético Madrid’s forward and Spain’s captain, Álvaro Morata. Milan paid his release clause of 13 million euros for the experienced striker.
Morata's contract with Milan is for four years.
Morata previously played in Italy for Juventus. In 185 matches for the Turin club, he scored 59 goals and provided 39 assists.
Last season, Morata scored 15 goals and made 4 assists in 32 La Liga matches. Just a few days ago, he became a European champion with the Spanish national team.
