Official! The 30 nominees for the 2026 Women's Ballon d'Or are revealed
The race for the 2026 Women's Ballon d'Or is officially down to 30 names.
Details: The official Ballon d'Or channels have unveiled the complete shortlist for the prestigious women's award. Thirty footballers have made the final selection following their performances during the relevant 2025/26 period, with the nominees representing 18 different nationalities.
The complete list of nominees looks as follows:
- Selma Bacha, Barbra Banda, Klara Bühl, Esmee Brugts, Mariona Caldentey, Scarlett Camberos, Kerstin Casparij, Temwa Chawinga, Cata Coll, Melchie Dumornay.
- Caroline Graham Hansen, Alex Greenwood, Patri Guijarro, Pernille Harder, Yui Hasegawa, Rose Lavelle, Mapi León, Lorena, Melvine Malard, Manaka Matsukubo.
- Vivianne Miedema, Ewa Pajor, Claudia Pina, Alexia Putellas, Wendie Renard, Alessia Russo, Khadija Shaw, Momoko Tanikawa, Caroline Weir, Tessa Wullaert.
Among the biggest names is two-time Ballon d'Or winner Alexia Putellas, while Caroline Graham Hansen, Ewa Pajor, Khadija Shaw, Alessia Russo and Wendie Renard are also in contention. One particularly notable absence is reigning three-time winner Aitana Bonmatí, who is not among this year's 30 nominees.
It is worth noting that the 2026 Ballon d'Or ceremony will be held in London on October 26. The women's trophy will be awarded for the eighth time in the history of the prize.
