Official: Shooting Stars Sign Winger Taheer Abubakar on Permanent Deal

Shooting Stars have completed the permanent signing of winger Taheer Abubakar as they continue to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

The pacy attacker has signed a one-year contract with the Oluyole Warriors, with the club holding the option to extend his stay. The winger is reportedly set to earn a monthly salary of ₦600,000 as he begins a new chapter with the Ibadan-based side.

Abubakar joins from Wikki Tourists after an impressive spell during the second half of last season, where he scored two goals and caught the attention of several clubs with his attacking displays.
