Official: Serge Gnabry extends contract with Bayern until 2028
Bayern Munich have officially announced the signing of a new deal with winger Serge Gnabry.
Details: The Bavarian club confirmed that the 30-year-old has put pen to paper on a contract running until 30 June 2028. Gnabry’s previous deal was set to expire this summer, fueling plenty of speculation about his future, but that chapter is now closed.
Sporting director Christoph Freund and board member Max Eberl were unanimous in describing Gnabry as one of the team's cornerstone players. The club’s management stressed that Serge is crucial not only for his versatility and eye for goal, but also as a leader in the dressing room.
According to Gnabry, the decisive factors in renewing his contract were the unique team atmosphere, the support of the fans, and the comfortable life in Munich. He emphasized that the squad is united and ready to chase more major trophies in the coming years.
During his career in Munich, the forward has played 311 matches, scoring exactly 100 goals and providing 69 assists.
Reminder: Bayern defender Sacha Boey will continue his career at Galatasaray.
