OFFICIAL: Semi-automated offside technology to be introduced in the FA Cup and Premier League

Offside controversies have been increasing in English football, prompting the Football Association (FA) to enhance officiating technology.

Details: The FA has officially announced that semi-automated offside technology will be tested in English football this season.

The system will be implemented in the FA Cup starting from the Round of 16, and in the Premier League beginning in April.

Currently, this technology is already in use in La Liga, the Bundesliga, and Champions League matches.
