Sabri Lamouchi has been officially relieved of his duties following Tunisia’s disappointing start to the 2026 FIFA World Cup after a heavy defeat to Sweden in their opening Group F match.

The Tunisian Football Federation confirmed the decision shortly after the match, bringing an end to Lamouchi’s tenure in charge of the national team.

As earlier reported by Dailysports, plans are already in motion to appoint Mondher Kebaier as interim head coach while a long-term replacement is considered.
