The club's sporting director, Johan Lange, confirmed that De Zerbi was Tottenham's number one target for the summer of 2026, but the club managed to secure his arrival ahead of schedule.
“Roberto is one of the most creative and progressive coaches in world football. He brings a wealth of experience at the highest level, including the Premier League,” Lange emphasized.
It's worth noting that the Italian manager's previous club was French side Marseille.
Reminder: Tottenham forward Kolo Muani has almost no chance of featuring at the 2026 World Cup.
