According to The Athletic, Courtois will miss the next two matches and will not play again until after the international break. However, there has been no official confirmation regarding this.

Additionally, on Wednesday, October 2, Real Madrid will face Lille in an away match in the UEFA Champions League.
Atlético fans began throwing objects onto the field. Lighters and other items were thrown into Real Madrid's penalty area, where former Atlético goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was positioned. The referee decided to halt the match and led both teams off the field into the tunnel.
