OFFICIAL: Peter Waweru Appointed Referee for Egypt vs Angola 2027 AFCON Qualifier

Kenyan referee Peter Waweru has been appointed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to officiate the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Egypt and Angola.

The CAF Referees Committee selected Waweru to take charge of the first-round qualifying fixture, which is scheduled for Friday, September 25, 2026.

Egypt will begin their 2027 AFCON qualifying campaign at home against Angola at the Cairo International Stadium. The match is scheduled to kick off at 10:00 PM Cairo time.
